Frequently asked questions.

Do you ship flowers?

All personal flowers such as bouquets, buttonholes and smaller table decorations can be couriered in the UK or collected from my studio. Larger items which need to be installed in situ at the venue will have to be delivered and installed by Studio Blosm and the cost for this will have been calculated into your quote if necessary.

What types of arrangements can you provide?

All your personal flowers such as bouquets, buttonholes, hair and wrist accessories (including cute little items for your pet wedding attendees!). Venue decoration can range from bud vases and flowers for a welcome sign to larger ceremony features that pack a real visual punch. If you aren’t sure where to best use your budget, we can have a chat over where you want the most impact for you and your guests and I can advise how to utilise it best.

What is the booking process for weddings?

  • Firstly start by filling in my online enquiry form here. Don’t worry if you don’t have all the details, just as much as you can right now, alongside any Pinterest boards or inspo pictures you already have.

  • I shall give you a starting estimate quote based on your enquiry or we can book in a quick online chat if more detail is needed so I can give you an accurate as possible quote. I can also advise where to best spend your budget to get the most out of your flowers on the day.

  • If you’d like to go ahead and secure your booking, a 30% deposit of the current total will need to be paid alongside my online contract signed.

  • Once booked in, we shall have our initial online consultation (if we’ve not already had this!) and your own personal moodboard with inspo pictures, individual flowers and stems I’d like to use and descriptions of all arrangements that will be made will be created just for you. This can be amended until you are happy that the board has captured the vibe you are aiming for for the big day.

  • 2 months out from your wedding, I shall be in contact again to see if anything needs amending from the initial booking and go over any final details.

  • 1 month out from your wedding your final bill is due and I shall start creating your flowers! I always start with the main bouquet and pictures can be sent for your input too. Once happy, the rest of your flower order will be created.

  • Your flowers are ready for you to collect at a day of your choosing or ready to be delivered directly to you and installed and set up at your venue.

  • Party well and long on your big day; the flowers are yours to keep (please see our article on how to look after dried flowers) and if needed, I shall return to the venue to break down any floral installations.

What happens if I want to add on floral items after booking?

This is no problem at all! Items can be added after the point of booking right up until 1 month before wedding when the final bill is due. Just let me know what you’d like to add when you have decided and the cost for this will be included in the final invoice.

Can you provide fresh flowers instead of dried?

Absolutely! For a fresh flower wedding the minimum spend is £500 (which is perfect for mini elopements) and all your flowers will be set up and dropped off at your venue (or where you are getting ready) on your wedding day. The booking process is the same for fresh or dried weddings other than for fresh weddings, you won’t get pictures in advance of the flowers being made due to their perishable nature. There is no minimum spend for a dried flower wedding.

Do I need to have an exact idea of what colours I want or know flower names before booking?

Not at all! It would be handy to have an idea of the ‘vibe’ you are aiming for, e.g. bright and bold, whimsical and floaty, rustic and textural etc, but a starting quote can be given without you having decided on your specific wedding colours. You can still book in me as your florist and then once you have decided on the aesthetic direction you’d like for the day, we can schedule in a call to discuss this and then I can create your moodboard. No knowledge of flowers is needed!

Do you provide rentals for table or venue styling?

Vessels that contain the flowers can be rented or bought if you’d like to give them away to guests at the end of the day and some minimal table candle options can be provided but for further table styling e.g. signs, place settings and other decorative items, these are not provided. Instead I can give you a list of businesses which can help you with this!

Do you do venue site visits?

Yup, if you are have larger venue floral installations such as hanging arrangements I will arrange to visit the venue beforehand and this can be alongside your co-ordinator if you have one too.

How far out should I book my wedding flowers?

Typically, couples have been booking their wedding flowers about 12 months out from your wedding day. The earlier you book the more guaranteed you are to get the suppliers you want to work with. Like mentioned previously, you can book in for the floral items you DEFINITELY want and as you go through your wedding planning process, refine the colours and look later down the line.

Do you do floral mock ups before the wedding?

Not usually. I try to make the moodboard pictures and descriptions as accurate as possible as I refer back to the this when I start creating your flowers. By providing pictures of the dried bouquets being made, your input can be given to ensure it is exactly as you envisioned and therefore a mock up of how your flowers will look isn’t usually needed.

Can decorative hair items such as flower crowns be provided before the wedding?

Yes! If you are ordering wearable personal flowers such as flower crowns, hair combs etc and you’d like to have them in advance to play around with for a hair trial then please let me know asap or at the point of booking so I can schedule the creation of these in earlier for you.

INCREDIBLE!

Robyn was amazing from my first contact with her through to collecting my flowers. She listened and designed such amazing flowers. The amount of compliments I had on the day was insane.

The flowers for me and my 6 bridesmaids ranging in ages from 3 - 33
Worked brilliantly. They were all perfectly proportioned for the girls.

The button holes for the men and the women were also just beautiful.

I could not recommend Robyn at BLOSM enough.

Thank you so much for helping make my day so special!
